Frog Pond Update
Bit by bit the old pool is becoming the new pond. I’ve added more locations for plants, and added some new plants both inside and outside the pond itself. I’ve also moved the shade sail to provide much more shade (a tricky thing to do in itself as anchor points are hard to come by). The water is definitely going greener since I combined what was sitting in the tarp and what was below it. So that’s a small concern...

Beginning the long road back from neglect
Its been a long winter and other priorities have overshadowed the garden enormously. As a result, the damage from neglect is acute. I started some healing work with installation of irrigation (which I will look at separately in another post soon). With all the attention on the front yard, the back yard has been largely neglected lately – other than duck-related projects, moving a few new Berry plants from the front, and planting the spuds. Instant Succulent Collection
Today’s project was to pot up the collection of succulents I bought as a job lot from a guy online. I have no idea what most of them are, but it’s an attractive little collection and I think the potting went pretty well. There were a number of leaf break-offs in the process, but they will be worth trying to propagate from as cuttings, so no harm done.
