Plant Hospital

I’ve always been a sucker for an unwell (and hence marked down priced) plant, and recently is no exception. I currently have several rescues in progress.

There’s a couple that have been in pots here at the house since before I moved in, and are finally getting some attention. Also a tree fern I found down the dead side of the house that was close to death. That got broken in the process of getting out out of the ground, and although I believe tree fern transplants are only supposed to work from the top, I replanted out to and bottom sections because why not.

There also several miscellaneous rescues from Bunnings’ nursery last week, including 2 Happy Plants and a Golden Cane Palm, and several smaller plants. Most of those are in the greenhouse to rest and recuperate. Hopefully.

Update 29th August: Scrounged a few tropical-looking things from a neighbour’s yard. Details in the photo comments.

Update 30th August: Scrounged a few more things from the neighbour’s yard. Details in the photo comments.
